My job as a Fashion Design teacher allows my personal style to grow. Since I am a very active person, always finding something to do, I also do freelance jobs as a Fashion Stylist. These two jobs require comfort and style, and being in touch with people without coming to aggressive or imposing on them, so I developed a more casual style with a touch of madness: one item that breaks it all off.
Describe your personal style:
Its an "anything goes" style, it's more like a mix and match. I make my outfits depending on what I found harmonious to my eye; it has to fill me completely and make me feel comfortable without leaving any doubt. It's a mood thing. Some people tell me I have a certain vintage look, without falling into a disguise, and I believe this comes from my choice for accessories which generally they do happen to be vintage. It's all about being creative.
Key items you find yourself wearing constantly:
My key items are definitely my bags, but it's a season thing, sometimes I insist on the same bag and make all my outfit work around it. It's not like I have something I can't let go of... probably a ring I love that was designed by my grandmother and gave it to me, and that I wear almost on a daily basis, but out of that, something I wear constantly it could only be my underwear!
Your most recent purchase:
I am always on the look out for new shoes, so obviously my most recent purchase where shoes. I bought 3 pairs, but the ones I enjoyed owning the most are a pair of nude scarpins with metal tip, I sense a big future for these with my wardrobe.
Smart shop advice:
When you are looking for something, It has to fill you emotionally; something like love at first sight, physically; it has to flatter your figure no matter how much you love it, if it doesn't flatter you, forget it! Not because it's in fashion right now it means it will suit you. Think of it as a relationship, imagine it getting along with the rest of your closet, it's an investment.
Favorite place to shop:
I can shop anywhere as long as I find something of interest, something that can add value to my current wardrobe or just because I relate to that item. I do like department stores better for they have a variety of brands and styles, and my style do varies with my mood.
5 things you cannot live without:
Definitely black stilettos; they work every season, with every color, with every trend. A luggage color bag; it's a basic. Black leather pants; if only the weather allowed me I'll wear them daily! Earrings, I cannot live if I am not wearing earrings. And of course, animal print!
